Essex - Back to Brentwood

Yesterday Wed 20th Aug 2025

Following the announcement by First Essex that they are withdrawing their Monday-Saturday Service 37 in Brentwood at the end of August 2025; Central Connect are pleased to announce the launch of Service 60 as a replacement from Monday 1st September.

Service 60 will be operating on a fully commercial basis without local authority funding.

Service 60 Timetable

Service 60 will operate a generally hourly timetable Monday-Saturday between Warley, Eagle Way and Pilgrims Hatch (Bishop's Hall Estate) via Brentwood Station and High Street. On Saturdays there will be a small number of two-hourly gaps between buses.

The current First Essex Sunday service, funded by Essex County Council, will continue unchanged.

Service 60 Fares

We'll be extending our West Essex fare zone, which currently covers Services 8, 10 & 12 in Wickford, Basildon and Billericay to additionally cover Brentwood and Service 60. Alongside the West Essex Day, Week, Month and Group tickets we'll be offering great value singles fares which will be capped at £3 under the national bus fare cap, though many journeys will be offered for less.

English National Concessionary passes will be valid on weekday journeys after 0900 (ECC issued) or 0930 (all other English county passes) and at all times at on Saturdays.

Service 60 Route

There's no changes to the route. Service 60 will follow the exact same route and stop at the exact same stops as the current Service 37.

Keeping Brentwood Moving

Whether it's for commuting to school or work, connecting to the Elizabeth Line at Brentwood Station, keeping active at Brentwood Leisure Centre, reaching the doctors or the shops, Service 60 is your new local link between Pilgrims Hatch and Warley.

Join us on board from September 1st!
