Essex - New Year New 60s

Following the introduction of Service 60 in Brentwood in September 2025 we've been constantly reviewing patronage and route performance, as we are aware of passenger feedback regarding frequency and number of journeys. Initial loadings on the 60 have been in line with expectations despite long term, large scale highways disruption in Brentwood. As a result of this we are pleased to announce that from Monday 5th January we're introducing a revised weekday timetable:

• An earlier weekday journey is introduced between Pilgrims Hatch and Warley. This journey will commence from Brentwood Leisure Centre at 0600 arriving at Brentwood Station at 0622.
• The 0640 journey from Warley is retimed depart at 0630 and will run between 10-12 minutes earlier from all stops.
• There are minor changes to the 0730 and 0830 AM peak journeys to improve reliability (the 0830 will depart Warley at 0835).
• There are minor changes to the 1535, 1635 & 1740 PM peak journeys to improve reliability (the 1635 will depart Warley at 1640 and the 1740 will depart Warley at 1742).
• The 1900 journey from Warley will run 15 minutes earlier at 1845 and will now terminate at Brentwood Station after completing the Pilgrims Hatch Loop.
• A later mid-evening journey is introduced between Brentwood Station and Pilgrims Hatch departing the Station at 2000.

We can't justify a frequency increase or any additional Saturday journeys just yet but we are continuing to monitor route performance and have hopes that with stable operation we'll be able to introduce even more journeys later in 2026.
