Festive Service Levels 2023

Due to lower demand, many of our buses will operate to a revised service level over the Christmas and New Year period. A summary of these can be found below.

Normal timetables will operate up to and including Saturday 23rd December then:

Sunday 24th December - Christmas Eve

Normal Sunday timetables will operate with the exception of Novus Direct and Novus Fosse in Leicester which will have earlier finishes. Last buses on these routes will be:

• ND from New Lubbesthorpe at 1945 and from St Margaret's at 2015.
• NF from Fosse Park at 1815 (as far as Thorpe Astley).

Monday 25th December - Christmas Day

No services will operate.

Tuesday 26th December - Boxing Day

No services will operate.

Wednesday 27th December

Saturday timetables will operate on all Vectare and Central Connect services with the following exceptions:

• Central Connect services 9, 59 & 590 will operate a normal weekday service.
• Central Connect services 322 & 324 will operate a Tuesday timetable in order to provide a service to Lindsell. 
• Vectare services 22, 23 & 24 will operate a normal weekday service.
• Vectare service R4 will not operate.
• Service 81 running on behalf of Derbyshire CC will operate a normal weekday service.

Thursday 28th December

Saturday timetables will operate on all Vectare and Central Connect services with the following exceptions:

• Central Connect services 9, 59 & 590 will operate a normal weekday service.
• Vectare services 22, 23 & 24 will operate a normal weekday service.
  
• Vectare service R4 will not operate.
• Service 81 running on behalf of Derbyshire CC will operate a normal weekday service.

Friday 29th December

Saturday timetables will operate on all Vectare and Central Connect services with the following exceptions:

• Central Connect services 9, 59 & 590 will operate a normal weekday service.
• Vectare services 22, 23 & 24 will operate a normal weekday service.
  
• Vectare service R4 will not operate.
• Service 81 running on behalf of Derbyshire CC will operate a normal weekday service.

Saturday 30th December

Normal Saturday timetables will operate on all services.

Sunday 31st December - New Years Eve

Normal Sunday timetables will operate with the exception of Novus Direct and Novus Fosse in Leicester which will have earlier finishes. Last buses on these routes will be:

• ND from New Lubbesthorpe at 1945 and from St Margaret's at 2015.
• NF from Fosse Park at 1815 (as far as Thorpe Astley).

Monday 1st January - New Years Day

No services will operate.

Tuesday 2nd January

Normal weekday services will resume on all routes. Please note that from this date Central Connect service 410 will be renumbered 25 (25B) and will operate to an enhanced timetable (details here). Vectare service R4 will also operate to a revised timetable and a new Vectare 25 (25A, 25X) will be introduced within Peterborough to serve Alwalton Hill Business Park (details here).
