Network update
October 2023 Service Change (National)
From Monday 2nd October, there will be a small number of changes to our East Midlands and Essex networks. Details of these changes are summarised below:
East Midlands - Service 9 (9A, 9C)
We're delighted to be taking over the operation of Services 9 and 9A between Derby, Chaddesdon, Spondon and Ockbrook following a re-tendering exercise by Derbyshire County Council. As an enhancement to the existing service, additional journeys will operate on all days providing an earlier arrival into Derby (pre 7am) and a later departure from Derby (post 6pm). These additional journeys will also extend from Spondon and Ockbrook to/from Breaston, Draycott and Long Eaton.

East Midlands - School Service 973
Following discussions with Nottinghamshire County Council, we have mutually agreed to cease operating this service. A new operator is being sought by NCC. The last day of Vectare service on the 973 will be Friday 29th September.
Essex - Service 61 (61C)
Following discussions with Essex County Council, Service 61 will be formally withdrawn from Wyatts Green and the Plovers Mead loop due to safety concerns and an increased number of adverse incidents along this section of the route. A new timetable is introduced on all days to reflect these changes and improve peak time reliability. In addition, all Saturday daytime journeys previously numbered 61A will be renumbered to 61.
