A47 EASTON ROUNDABOUT - evening closures on Tuesday 30th June & Wednesday 1st July

Due to works at the Easton Roundabout, there will be complete road closures on the A47 in place from 20:00 on Tuesday 30th June & Wednesday 1st July.

Service 4:
The 18:35 from Norwich Bus Station will operate via the Dunham Road & Bawburgh Road loop, as detailed below to continue serving Easton, as Dereham Road at the join onto the Easton Roundabout is believed to be closed from 19:00 on these evenings.

As the 20:00 & 22:00 from Norwich Bus Station are now operated exclusively by our smaller, 16 seat minibuses - we are able to continue serving Easton on these two journeys, and on these two journeys will accept any valid FirstBus tickets. These services will serve all stops in Easton, before then diverting to resume normal route at Honingham (Berrys Lane). We are anticipating some delay to these services as a result of the diversion.

Service 8:
From 20:00, all services are diverted between Norwich (Elveden Close) and either North Tuddenham or Eckling Grange via Barnham Broom & Mattishall, per the temporary timetable on the webpage linked below.

Services are liable to operate with delays after 20:00 - so we would advise that you track your bus on our app for live updates. We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause to your journey with us.

A47 EASTON ROUNDABOUT - confirmation of route 4 diversion & ticket acceptance

We have finalised our plans for the upcoming National Highways partial closure of the Easton Roundabout. Full details are available at https://www.konectbus.co.uk/easton-roadworks, but have additionally been summarised below for your convenience.

In summary:
- Service 4/4A will continue to serve Easton as normal, but from 1st July services towards Norwich cannot serve Marlingford Road. From 1st August, all services cannot serve Marlingford Road. Services 4/4A will accept all FirstBus tickets for travel to/from Easton, either towards Dereham or towards Longwater & Norwich.
- A temporary stop will be available on Marlingford Road for easier access for Easton College through the day.
- Service 8C will accept FirstBus tickets for travel to/from Easton College only, to support affected college students.
- The last 8 service (23:30 Rail Station/23:40 Bus Station Mon-Sat, 18:50 Rail Station/19:00 Bus Station Sun & Holidays) will serve Easton on request to any FirstBus ticket holders, to ensure nobody gets stranded in the city after the last 4 & Excel have both left.
- In September, we will look to introduce new service 34, allowing a 30 minute off-peak frequency between Easton and Norwich to bring the frequency back towards what it was. We will also look at modifications to service 4's timetable to better suit student and commuter arrival times in Norwich. We will announce more details in due course.

We know that these National Highways works will be extremely disruptive to bus users in Easton, and hope that while not perfect, our mitigations with the announcement of service 34 and Norfolk County Council's funding for Excel ticket acceptance help to keep you connected as best as possible through these works.
