Because of this evenings world cup semi final between England and Argentina we are expecting Central Norwich to be much busier than usual, especially once this football match ends. All our evening buses will continue to operate to their usual timetables.
Due to expected large crowds it is anticipated that some roads within Central Norwich may become obstructed and the following modification of bus routes will be in place from 2200 onwards:
Route 2 - 22:30 St Stephens Street to Salhouse - this bus will be diverted between Castle Meadow and Rail Station via Palace Street, Barrack Street and Riverside Road avoiding Prince of Wales Road.
Route 5 - 22:10 St Stephens Street to Rackheath - this bus will operate as normal
Route 8 - 21:20 Dereham to Norwich will, between the Bus Station and Rail Station be diverted via Queens Road and Carrow Road avoiding Prince of Wales Road. The 22:30 and 23:30 departures from the Rail Station to Dereham & Toftwood will operate as normal. AN EXTRA BUS WILL OPERATE AT 2330 TO ENSURE ENOUGH CAPACITY IS AVAILABLE ON THIS JOURNEY.
Route 10 - 22:15 St Stephens Street to Stalham - this journey will be diverted between Tombland and Magdalen Gates via Palace Street and Bull Close Road avoiding Magdalen Street.
Our drivers will do all they can to maintain their respective timetables however there may be some delays leaving Norwich. We ask, however, that our drivers are treated with respect.
