Flagfinders service changes in late July

Following Essex County Council consultations, as well as ongoing preparation work to launch our new Central Connect bus network in this area from September 2026, there will be some changes to local bus services currently operated by Flagfinders through July.

Service 60 (Braintree to Sudbury via Halstead)

This service is withdrawn from the end of service on Friday 24th July. Journey opportunities remain available through service 42, then from September enhanced journey opportunities will be available on the new network. Details of the new & enhanced network will be available in August.

Service 826 (Castle Hedingham to Colchester)

This schoolday only service has been withdrawn from the end of service on Friday 17th July. This journey will be incorporated into an enhanced level of service on the 88/89 service corridor from September. Details of the new & enhanced network will be available in August.

DaRT 3 & 299 (North East Braintree & West/North Uttlesford and West Braintree DaRT)

Services DaRT 3 & 299 will be withdrawn from Saturday 25th July and will then be replaced with a DigiGo DRT solution, provided through Essex County Council. Please contact ECC's Transport Team for further information on your journey opportunities going forward.
